Wayzata Warmup

Wayzata Warm Up MN Softball Tournament Site

Our tournament will be utilizing the USA Softball Minnesota website for scheduling and scores. Below is a link to the tournament site. This information will also be posted at the concession stand area. Bracket play schedules may not post until Friday.

Parking - Elm Creek Playfields

There is ample parking at the facility to the east of the fields and to the south towards the Varsity Softball Field.

Parking - Oakwood Elementary School

If playing at Field 1, its easiest to park in the parking lot coming off of HWY 101 from the west.

If playing at Field 2, it's easiest to park in the parking lot coming off of County Road 6 from the south.

Check-In

Please check-in at least 30 minutes prior to your team's first game at the concession stand between fields 1-4 at Elm Creek or between fields 1-2 at Oakwood. 
 
You will be given two game balls to be used throughout the tournament.  Should you need replacement game balls, please return the used game ball to the tournament concession stand and a new ball will be exchanged until we are all out.

Concessions & Food Trucks

We will be offering beverages and snacks all weekend at the concessions stand.
Additionally, Food Trucks will be present:
  • Friday: BD Sammies (Elm Creek)
  • Saturday: Tacos los 4 Carnales (Elm Creek) & Nautical Bowls (EC & Oakwood)
  • Sunday: BD Sammies & Nautical Bowls (Elm Creek)

Weather Policy

Should the event be cancelled due to weather, the refund policy will be as follows:
  • Prior to first game first pitch = Full Refund
  • After First Pitch, but before Bracket play = 50% Refund
  • After first pitch of bracket play = No refund

Jeanette Pospesel Namesake

The Wayzata Warmup softball tournament was renamed in 2007 to memorialize Jeanette Pospesel.  Jeanette, an amazing "softball mom", who lost her life in a tragic automobile accident.

Jeanette was a loving wife, dedicated mother, popular teacher and all-around magical person. We miss her greatly.   In her memory, every year, the PWYSA provides a financial scholarship to a member of the Wayzata High School Softball team who represents the characteristics of the scholarship legacy.
