Hello PWYSA Families,
As all of you likely know, Minnesota’s COVID-19 related restrictions are being expanded effective Friday, November 20th and are intended to stay in place at least through December 18th. These expanded restrictions will impact most activities associated with youth athletics. As such, all of PWYSA’s offseason clinics will be impacted in one manner or another.
We understand that many of you may be disappointed by the impact these changes will have on our children’s activities. Please know that PWYSA believes that complying with the updated CDC and MDH guidelines will be critical in ensuring that we will all be able to safely return to more normalized activities as soon as possible.
Clinic specific updates are as follows:
Monday Night Hitting w/WHS Head Coach Melissa Chmielewski
Monday night hitting sessions during this date range will be cancelled. It is not our intention to offer refunds at this time based on the expectation that we will to continue these sessions once the current restrictions are lifted.
TC Fastpitch Academy Clinics
All Sunday TC Fastpitch Clinics (catching, defense/skills, hitting & pitching) will be cancelled during this period. As registration was conducted through the TC Fastpitch Academy, members of their team will be reaching out very soon to all registrants regarding refunds and potential opportunities for after the athletic pause.
Hit Dawg Academy Clinics
Hit Dawg informed us today that after reviewing the orders issued by the Governor in greater detail, there is no opportunity at this time to conduct any form of instructional or training based program that would comply with the restrictions. As a result, the clinic sessions between now and December 18th will be cancelled.
It is our intention that these sessions will begin again once the new restrictions are lifted. PWYSA will provide an update to clinic participants as we progress into December or as any information changes regarding the program. Please note, based on the heavily discounted pricing for these offseason programs and the expectation that we will have more than two months of sessions after this pause, we will not be issuing registration refunds at this time.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you have additional questions, please reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
