All players, coaches and volunteers must complete and sign the following waiver before participating in any 2020 Summer PWYSA related activities. Click on the link below to complete and sign.
It has been one week since our last update and we’ve gotten clarity on a few aspects of what it will take to salvage some portion of the 2020 Summer Softball season. We now have a solid target date on which we can begin team activities being June 1st. We also know that we will have to maintain social distancing within ‘pods’ of 10 people and that we can have up to 3 pods on a field but that the pods must maintain some distance from each other. Additionally, those team activities cannot currently include games and there has not been a target date identified by the Governor’s office as to when that may change.
The PWYSA Board of Directors met last night to assess the situation and has decided that we will move forward with a 2020 Summer Season that is focused on player development and will consist of practices that, based on the current constraints, we can structure to support compliance with the current Stay Safe Order and MDH Guidelines
Please refer below to PWYSA's guidelines for the 2020 Summer Season:

PWYSA knows this is a different concept than you all agreed to when you registered your children earlier this year. However, at this time, we feel this is a program that we can safely support to get players active and working to develop their softball abilities while enjoying time with friends and teammates.
For those families who are ready to embark on this new journey with PWYSA, you do not need to take any action at this time as your current registration will remain valid. You will need to complete the waiver referenced above after all of our teams are set. However, we are modifying the fee structure for the season based on the lack of game and tournament related costs. As a result, partial refunds of your original registration fees will be processed based on the revised fee schedule below.
For those families who do not wish to participate in the 2020 Summer Season, you may either use the withdrawal forms created last week which are accessible via the links below or, in the event that you have issues with using the forms (Google sheets), please email your withdrawal request to firstname.lastname@example.org. Player withdrawal requests must occur by 7pm CDT Wednesday May 27th. Please note, the withdrawal forms are formatted as logs. Please add the information for each of your children into the log form. The registration fees for players who chose to withdraw will be refunded in full.

Lastly, Dibs will be waived for the 2020 Summer Season. If your family selected the paid opt out option, your dibs related fees will be refunded as well. If your family selected the Car Wash option, those coupons will be provided during the early portion of the season.
Please note, it is our intention to process all necessary refunds between June 1st and June 15th.
PWYSA Board of Directors
Dear PWYSA Players, Parents, and Coaches,
Happy New Year to all of our association families, and welcome to the many new families who have registered their daughter for the very first time with PWYSA! Very soon over 320 aspiring young softball stars will run onto the field for their first practice, and begin their 2020 PWYSA softball journey. Soon, the ping of the softball off the bats will take over the Plymouth Wayzata fields.
Our Board of Directors has been busy, as we continue to expand the association and prepare for the upcoming Travel and Recreation seasons. Both Travel and Recreation registrations are now open. We are offering free pre-tryout clinics inside the newly renovated CMS Dome in preparation for travel tryouts (see our website for details, no registration is necessary for the clinics), and if you have not done so already, you can register for a hitting pass to try out the new cages inside the CMS Dome.
As we reflect upon 2019 and launch into 2020 softball season, sportsmanship is one of many important themes, related to our Mission, to consider. When PWYSA formed a formal partnership with the Positive Coaches Alliance (PCA) in 2018, we did so to help us establish a foundation of expectations and guidelines for all of our association families, coaches and players. We strive to create a culture of positive sportsmanship in interactions with coaches and opposing team parents, reactions to umpire calls, player to player relationships, and within our neighboring softball association leadership, as well.
Coming this spring, the following programs will further support the knowledge and education our of coaches, parents, and players. I encourage each of us, as parents, to attend and learn as much as you can about your daughter's respective PWYSA program, her coaches, PWYSA policies, and meet and talk with our leadership members. Below is a glimpse of our spring dates to mark on your calendars.
I want to thank you for your trust in PWYSA. We are excited for another fun and developmental softball season.
