Fall Rec Information

FALL REC LEAGE DESCRIPTION

We are excited to offer a 8U and 10U league for recreation for fall again this year.  PWYSA and Maple Grove will comprise this league for the fall. Games will be played either at a PWYSA field or in Maple Grove.  To see a comparison of travel fall ball versus rec league fall ball, please visit out the Program Comparison page.
 

Players will move to the age level that they will play during the next summer (ie. an 8U Summer player could move up to 10U Fall based on her birth year).  

PRACTICES: Teams have 2 practices per week (90 min each) starting in early August.

GAMES: See below for game dates.

  • 8U: Birthdates 9/1/2014-8/31/2016 | Machine Pitch | $125 
  • 10U: Birthdates 9/1/2012-8/31/2014 | Player Pitch | $125

Registration Fee Coverage

Registration fees cover the administrative and equipment needs for all of our Rec league teams for the fall. This includes umpire costs, field use fees, administrative and technology costs, insurance, uniforms and end of season tournament.
 

PlaYer SCHOLARSHIPS

PWYSA provides scholarships for registration fees to girls, who without financial assistance would be unable to participate in youth softball. PWYSA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with limited funding available for scholarships. No guarantee of assistance is implied by this program. If the number of scholarship applications submitted and approved exceeds the budgetary amount available, the scholarships will be awarded at the discretion of the PWYSA Board of Directors. Uniforms

This year, PWYSA uniforms for fall will include a shirt and socks.  

Optional purchases are pants, belts, visors and jackets.

Dates for Fall Recreation 8U and 10U

Practice Starts the week of August 1st. 

Practice will be 2 days a week.  Practice will be Mon/Wed or Tue/Thu.  Please indicate on registration if you have a practice night preference.  

Games will be on the following Sundays with a start time of 4:00pm:

  • August 13th
  • August 20th
  • August 27th
  • September 10th
  • September 17th

Games also on August 16th or 17th, August 30th or 31st and September 13th or 14th with a 6:00 or 6:30pm start time.

**End of Season Tournament on September 23rd**

Cost

The cost is $125.  This cost includes a jersey top and socks. 

For bottoms, the girls are required to wear pants for games.  Softball pants can be purchased during registration if needed.
