Plymouth Wayzata Youth Softball Association

If you are interested in learning to become a fastpitch pitcher, or becoming a better fastpitch pitcher, the PWYSA Winter Pitching Clinic is the place for you. We believe that fastpitch pitchers are made during the off-season. Thus, much of our time will be spent on developing strong fundamentals.

These sessions include professional instruction, which leads to proper mechanics, speed and accuracy. More advanced pitchers will learn the mechanics of various pitches i.e. change, drop, rise, and curve. Girls will be organized by experience and ability to allow more focused instruction.

Instruction again this year will be provided by Piper Marten, Lyn McCulloch, Nikki Myers, Mike Carter & guest clinicians, Lindsey Rymer and Bri Hassett. Piper was a former player and pitching great at the U of M and is currently on the U of M staff. Lyn is a former Golden Gopher pitching great & former Co-Head Coach at Orono High School. Nikki coached at Michigan State for 3 seasons. Both Nikki and Piper have played professional fastpitch. Lindsey has coached at both Wayzata and Hopkins High School and Bri pitched for the golden Gophers and runs private instuction.

Sunday Times:
Grades 1-5:  11:30 am – 12:30 pm
Grades 6-8:  12:30 pm – 1:30 pm
Grades 9-12:  1:30 pm – 2:30 pm

Tuesday Times:
Grades 1-5:  7:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Grades 6-8:  8:15 pm – 9:15 pm
Grades 9-12:  9:00 pm – 10:00 pm
