Plymouth Wayzata Youth Softball Association

The softball staff at Wayzata High School and PWYSA are happy to present the Wayzata Fastpitch Fastpitch Camps. These sessions will be both fun and challenging and are aimed at developing your skills regardless of experience level.

These camps are open to all players over age 8 regardless of their “home” community. Players will be placed with equal skill levels to assure the best instruction.

STAFF:
Camp lead instructors include Amber Hegland, Megan Higginbotham, and Piper Marten. These former Minnesota Gopher greats also have coaching experience at the Collegiate and High School Levels. They will be joined by Wayzata High School assistant coach Jay Guerin as well as current college players and former Wayzata High School players. Megan Higginbothem will lead the Catching Clinics and Piper Marten (former pitcher and U of M pitching coach) will lead the Pitching instruction. Piper will be joined by PWYSA coach and pitching clinician Mike Carter.

SESSION DATES:
There will be three sessions offered and you may sign up for one or all three. All Sessions are from 1:00  2:30. A discount is applied if you attend more than one of the sessions! Each Camp Session will offer a Fundamental Skills Camp or a Pitching/Catching Camp.

Session I – June 21st – 24th
Session II – July 12th-15th
*Session III – July 19th – 22nd*

Attend both the Pitching / Catching and Skills camps by signing up for multiple sessions.

FUNDAMENTAL SKILLS CAMPS will cover infielding, outfielding, hitting, bunting, sliding and baserunning.* Week 3 of the Fundamental Skills Camps will be aimed at more experienced players.
 

PITCHING / CATCHING CAMPS will be tailored to meet the individual needs of the pitcher or catcher and will cover skills targeted to their level of play. Pitchers will need to provide their own catcher and catchers should bring their catchers gear. Ask your coach to borrow the gear if you dont have your own
* Week 3 of the Pitching and Catching Camps will be aimed at more experienced pitchers.
