Plymouth Wayzata Youth Softball Association

PWYSA encourages all girls, grades K-12, to participate in this fun and exciting fastpitch organization. We provide players at all ages and skill levels an opportunity to play on a team that is right for them.

Our Recreational League stresses learning, fundamentals, equal playing time and fun.

The Travel League is more time consuming and competitive and competes against the best young athletes in the area.

All tryouts will take place at the Central Middle School Dome. Girls may arrive 30 minutes prior to their evaluation session to warm-up.

Pitchers & Catchers:  Tuesday, February 21st
Pitchers & Catchers may arrive at anytime between 7:30 and 9:15, but the following time slots are recommended. Pitchers & Catchers must also attend the general tryouts on Saturday the 25th.

   10U: 7:30 - 8:15 p.m.
   12U: 8:15 - 9:00 p.m.
   14U: 9:00 - 9:45 p.m.

General Tryouts (10U-14U):  Saturday, February 25th

   10U: 8:00 - 10:00 a.m.
   12U: 10:00 - 12:00 a.m.
   14U: 12:00 - 2:00 p.m.

Makeup Session (for 10U - 14U):  Tuesday, February 28th from 7:30-9:45. 

The make-up session is scheduled for girls who cannot attend on the 21st and/or 25th. Please make every effort to try-out on the normal evaluation dates. Prior notice must be given if a player will miss the regular try-out session. The make-up session should only be used if a conflict is unavoidable.

16U-18U Tryouts - Tuesday, March 6 from 7:30-9:45.

All 16U and 18U players will tryout for teams this night.  Tryouts are subject to change depending on how many girls register.  Parents will be notified of any change to the tryout.

The Jeanette Pospesel Memorial Scholarship is awarded to an individual player who represents the qualities that are Jeanette's legacy.  For more information and an application form please click the Wayzata Warmup Pospesel link located on the left menu bar.  Applications are due no later than April 22, 2011.
